East Downtown, or as Houstonians call it - EaDo, has a rich history and is conveniently located in Downtown. This location has access to all major highways and is home to the Houston Astros and Dynamo franchises as well as a hotspot for restaurants, bars, and local cultural events.
A once industrial area, turns into a thriving cultural hotspot
Houston’s East Downtown was the primary home for industrial enterprises. As industry moved out of Houston, EaDo filled up with vacant office spaces. Today, the area is one of the fastest growing areas of the United States, with developers investing more than $250 million in EaDo over the past few years, according to Houston Properties.
Great Food
Once known as Houston’s Chinatown and primary art scene, EaDo now boasts a culturally diverse bar and restaurant scene that can fit the preferences of just about any Housotnian. Enjoy a quick breakfast at popular restaurants like Brass Tacks, Koffeteria, and Tout Suite.
EaDo is also home to great artisan coffee stops like Xela’s coffee roasters, Coral Sword, Segundo Coffee Lab, and Corazon Coffee Co. The latter of which is conveniently located in Headquarter’s coworking building, making one of EaDo’s highest rated, artisan coffee shops just a few steps away for our tenants.

With Headquarters positioned with I-10 just to the North, HWY 59 to the West, and I-45 to the South, getting to and from Headquarters is extremely easy no matter where you live in or around Houston. It also makes it very easy to meet clients throughout the city at any point in the day. The best part? You don’t have to worry about the congestion of commuting in downtown.

There are only a few areas of Houston where you get a small town feel in a city as large as Houston. The East End is one of those places. Headquarters chose EaDo for several reasons: community, cost, proximity, accessibility and space! Coworking spaces in other Houston areas like the Heights, Galleria, and Upper Kirby typically mean smaller offices and more expensive leases - which is the opposite of what we sought to do.
Actually, the very nature of EaDo’s revitalization is at the core of our coworking space- the building’s walls come from an old oil company’s office, saving it from a life in the landfill. This eco-conscious decision reflects the culture that thrives in EaDo, a culture where our community comes first.
